THE STORY OF ALEX HOLT

it’s a relatively simple story. i’m a husband and a dad. i like breakfast food. i’m an average runner. and i care about helping brands make the world a better place.

I grew up on the westside of Indianapolis, and have (almost) always lived in the Indy area. Creativity has been a part of my life from a young age. My dad worked in telecommunications when I was a kid, and that instilled a passion in me to capture images that told stories. My first endeavor into the world of film came when I was seven years old, and the home movie classic “what happens when you close the fridge + toilet cam” hit the big (but really small tube) screen.

I spent most of my time in high school shooting photos and videos of my friends skateboarding, building websites, writing and designing for the school newspaper, and producing news stories for our school news station. My sophomore year I formed a nonprofit, aimed at helping high school students make a difference in the homelessness crisis in our city.

I started my professional career when I was 18 as a creative video producer and live production specialist. I had every intention of going to college, but a full-time offer doing what I was about to go to college for felt like the better choice. During that time I picked up some graphic design skills and began to focus my extra curricular creative efforts on building visual identities for the hundreds of business ideas I had in my head.

Over the past 13 years I’ve spent time in a variety of different creative spaces and roles, all with the common thread of using experiences to tell a story.

I’ve been married for over ten years to my beautiful wife Lauren, and we get to be mom and dad to our two kids, Asher and London. Outside of helping brands leverage themselves, I love to experiment in the kitchen, travel to Disney World, spend time in national parks and share dinner with friends and family around our table.

interested in connecting with me? maybe sushi or coffee? let’s do it.
