TxJet
about txjet.
While working at Indiana Donor Network, the COO approached me about an exciting new company we were getting ready to start. Indiana Donor Network was one of two or three organ procurement organizations (OPO) in the country who owned their own planes, used for transporting life-saving organs and teams across the country for transplants. Most OPOs charter out their flights to private companies, with no guarantee of speed and no insight into the safety of their aircraft. Indiana Donor Network decided it was time to change the game and offer transplant-specific aviation services that provided flights at a moments notice and gave insight into the safety of their aircraft.
I was asked to lead the charge, alongside our in-house creative team at Indiana Donor Network, in developing a brand, visual identity, website, and brand collateral for this new company. Through a series of brand development exercises, TxJet was born. TX is the medical shorthand for transplant, and the COO was sold on the idea.
This was one of the crazier projects I’ve gotten to work on (next to designing an INDYCAR livery). Being asked to not only develop the livery for our fleet of aircraft, but also flying to Cesna’s facility to finalize the purchase of our new aircraft, and then meeting with the Cesna paint shop to go over the livery design was a moment I won’t ever forget.
